Lovely to see the old photographs in color. Perhaps some of these have been hand painted? We still have Marshall Oils for hand coloring b&w photographs. But color photography was invented in the late 19th Century, so that may be the process used here. Thank you for your comments today. I had not thought about the witch's house in Hansel and Gretel, but I can see how that works.

j'adore ces anciennes cartes postales souvent colorisées et c'est un régal pour les yeux de revoir ces lieux dans un autre temps :)
