An outing in a kayak is always fun, but is a bit of work also. I will try to explain the title of my post today. The row of machines are called backhoes, or track hoes, or even diggers. The picture was taken at a new gravel pit where the machines are removing top soil to expose the sand and gravel beneath. I just like the way they all lined up behind the pile of dirt in the foreground. Thank you for your thoughtful comments.
