Sometimes, in flea markets , I find some pictures.
Some have some words written on their back , giving some clues.
There was nothing behind this one.

I like to save them. Trying to imagine a life, a name..
Just a way to give a little more life to forgoten people .

Old photos like this fascinate me. I also try to imagine what their lives were like.
On youTube you can find old videos of people and cities from over a hundred years ago.

I've found an interesting article about this sailor's ship.

Interesting photo of this sailor and his ship, The Voltaire. Thanks to James for providing information about the ship which served the French Navy from 1911 to 1935. We can only imagine what the life of this sailor was like. Did he survive WW II? Did he serve on other ships? The photo is just a thin slice of time. Malyss, thank you for your kind comments. I see I have you fooled about the extent of my knowledge. ;-)

le costume marque aussi l'époque ainsi que le style de bateau * c'est déjà une piste * avec le sigle sur la manche que l'on ne voit pas très bien ...
beau portrait
